Kiyo is a junior high student who's a genius, yet repeatedly cuts his classes because he is literally smarter than most teachers in the school. Meanwhile, in a forest in England, Kiyo's archaeologist father discovers a Mamado child named Zatch, who has no memory of who he is or of his past. Kiyo's father sends Zatch to Kiyo as a sort of mentor

Kiyo's mind keeps returning to his first battle with Zatch as he continuously fails to dicipher the Red Book. He is amazed at Zatch's abilities, though that gets thrown aside when Zatch displays his wide variety of backpack outfits. As he returns to school with the little momodo, the team finds a guy with a momodo of his own, this one with the power to freeze anything, stealing a car from a hapless victim

As the episode begins, Kiyo is once again paging through Zatch's spellbook, attempting to puzzle out the second spell, Rashield. But he has little luck, and soon abandons the task. When Zatch announces that he'll be accompanying Kiyo to school, the teenager is alarmed and yells at Zatch in an attempt to keep the Mamado from following him

After finding Zatch showing off his powers, Kiyo abandoned Zatch. Zatch found a lost dog on a bridge. Then, a strange girl named Sherrie and her weird mamodo, Brago, came to Kiyo's house

After hearing Zatch scream, Kiyo ran downstairs, he paused and watched from the stairs. He runs down and pushes Zatch out of the way of an attack, which left a dent in the wall. Cheri asks Brago if it's another mamodo, already knowing the answer, he replies affirmative and asks what they should do

After the battle with Cheri and her dark Mamodo, Kiyo is sent to the hospital with a kid named Shuuta, who was to be released 6 monthes ago. Zatch tries to cheer Shuuta up, but is shunned and given his lunch. When Kiyo tries to cheer him up, Shuuta snaps and steals his red book while Kiyo gets some juice! Then he threatens to burn it! Will Kiyo find the book in time, or is it bye-bye Zatch Bell?

Zatch tries to make friends with the same kids from last time in the park, but was shunned and made fun of, being called a freak. One of them says she's going to the zoo with HER friends, Zatch doesn't have any.except Kiyo and Suzie! Kiyo ""offers"" to take them to the botanical gardens, only to find an old friend, Ivy, and a new enemy with a Mamodo, who've been training for the Mamodo fight

A female Mamodo appears in the city and instantly becomes friends with a girl named Lori, sort of like how Kiyo and Zatch met, except without the smashing windows. The Mamodos name's Kolulu and is very sweet and thinks of Lori as a big sister. Soon after Kolulu meets Zatch and instantly remembers him

Zatch and Kiyo learn a new spell and go out to a secluded area to try it out. However the spell does not succeed! Meanwhile a Jester-Like Momodo challenges Zatch and Kiyo to a battle, and thoroughly thrashes them. When Zakair and Rashield fail, only their last spell can save them! But can Kiyo and Zatch get it to work?

Zatch believes that he has found another kind mamodo, but when kiyo discovers he and his partner plan to destroy the city, will he and and zatch be forced to fight them?

Zacth and Kiyo encounter a shapeshifting mamodo, Kyanchome, and his partner, a singing sensation named Folgore! What is wrong with this picture, and why is everyone after Zatch?

Outside of that, Tia has her first encounter with Naomi in her outing with Zatch

After a fun day in the park, Zatch and Kiyo decide to finish their day by building a sand castle, but at that moment Penny returns with 3 Ancient Mamodo, Dogmos, Erujo, and Boru Bora, to defeat Zatch and Kiyo and burn Zatch's book once and for all!

Tia and Megumi, now with new spells, show up to help Zatch and Kiyo against Penny and her ancient mamodo

Brago and Sherry go against Byonko and 3 "tag-team" ancient mamodo

As Zatch, Kiyo, and Tia pinpoint Milordo Z's location, Megumi goes through the hard times at school, Ponygon finds the owner of his book, and Dr. Riddles searches for more allies to help fight Milordo Z

Kiyo, Zatch, Megumi and Tia break into the Deboro Ruins with Folgore and Kanchome in order to defeat Milordo-Z (Zofis) and Koko and save the innocent people under their control. Unfortunatly, Folgore and Kanchome have their hands full with Alm

When they think that they finally trapped the two mamodo, a huge armored mamodo named Ganz appears behind Kanchome and Folgore. Now, Kiyo, Zatch, Megumi, Tia, Kanchome and Folgore fight agaisn't Alm and two new mamodo, a blue dragon named Geluos and Ganz. The room ends up flooding

Zatch and Tia's battle as Alm and and Geluos rages on as Zatch isn't fighting back. Folgore and Kanchome are still fighting against Ganz and trying to burn his book. After all that is done, Alm warns them that the next opponents will be tougher

While resting, Zatch and his friend meet Victoream, a goofy mamodo with a taste for melon, who challenges them to a fight

Out of breath and energy, Kiyo and friends come up with a strategy to defeat Victoream

The team is attacked by two momodo's right after their fight with victoream. The group is in no condition to fight but luckly is saved when Laila,one of the attacking mamodo's turns out to be a traitor and saves the group. It appeares two mamodo's controled by z can't attack each other

When Ponygon's book owner, Kafk Sunbeam, shows up, we get to see what spells Ponygon has up his sleeves. or hooves

While Kiyo learns more about the Moon Stone, Tia and friends have Mamodo trouble at the Hotel. Meanwhile, 4 friendly faces show up to help Tia

While battling Byonko and his army of mamodo, Dr. Riddles calls on the Majestic 12 to help them fight

While resting at the hotel, Tia tries to cough up the courage to tell Zatch thank you for saving her

Zatch and his comrades plan to take on Zofis and end up learning Zofis goals

Zatch and the others go into the ruins.Then Zofis finds them and he gets them seperated. Tia and Wonrei are fighting with Tsaoron (One of the The Four Supreme Mamodo)
